Camping du Lac - Ste Eulalie en Born

"A nice campsite on the lake but bathrooms weren't the best, the taps that actually worked all leaked, showers only last 5 seconds before you have to press the button again but worst was the amount of mosquitos around especially at night. Pool seemed nice but I didn't go in because swimming shorts aren't allowed. The lake was closed due to bacteria levels when we arrived but opened again after 2 days which seemed odd to me, how bad could it have been or where did the bacteria go after just 2 days, either way we went in and it was lovely and warm but very dirty. The swimming area also isn't really deep enough or big enough to properly swim in."

"We asked before lur stay if we could come with our five dogs. The answer: „Yes you can book your stay“ So we booked and payed via internet just to get our booking held up without further notice. When we asked by phone, the lady said she was alone and was too wuick and made a mistake and now doesn‘t know what to do, but sonce it was her mistake she thinks we could come but should pay attention, and, and, and, …. Since we don‘t want to go where we are a mistake and not really wanted we chose another camping by the lake (where we where indeed wanted 😉). Professional behaviour is something else! But they took our money anyway! May be a nice camping but we didn‘t have the feeling we would be welcome"

"A pleasant site with good access and good sized pitches but some facilities need updating. I agree with a previous comment about poor shower performance i.e. buttons don't provide a long enough time for water delivery and needed constant pressing (although not all showers were like this) and also temperature was variable. Site has a mole problem with lots of activity whilst we were there. They churn up the soil making the pitches unsightly and muddy when wet. Main issue though was a very old water trough near our pitch. This was an old washing facility with 4 taps and was in poor condition with many missing tiles and was not cleaned by the staff. The taps were push button and the trough made if very difficult to fill a standard aquaroll. It was used for general personal and kitchen washing by local pitches to avoid the walk to the main block. It should either be removed or replaced."

"Made a reservation online, only to realize an hour later that it was the wrong “du lac” camping ground. Immediately sent an email to cancel and ask for a refund of the 19€ paid while booking. Was denied a refund for a reservation made for late July, more than two months from now, canceled an hour after booking it. This is theft! NEVER will I set foot on your campground. Terrible way to treat potential customers."

"2nd year here, great campsite, next to the lake. Pitches are more than oke! Staff at the reception is really friendly and helpfull as always, big compliment there! But.... : The sanitair is not great anymore, needs a big renovation.The showers are hot, which is perfect, but leaking from all the pipes, showerheads are broken etc etc, toilets are sort of oke but very dirty because off the cleaning, which is very, very bad this year, signing off the sheet that it has been cleaned is not enough, you have to clean EVERYTHING! We would like to come back, but the sanitair is something that needs to be update to be nice again, that includes the cleaning, something very important!"
