Handicare Stairlifts

"Handicare totally refuses to reprogram the Stairlift if you buy a used stairlift. HOW CAN THIS BE LEGAL! Handicare stairlift B.V. is blocking any second-hand market and should service their product also when used. Only they can reprogram the chair with a new rail (you can buy from them) but refuse this if you buy a used chair direct form one of their customers. Handicare charges 10x the price if they sell a used stair-lift. . . . Even a second-hand stair-lift specialist can't install this lift unless the stairs are 100% the same (usual not the case) and don't need reprogramming and or a new Handicare should rethink this policy as it's really unfair to customers who can't sell their stair-lift to anyone for the best price. The policy is monopolising the second-hand market to only Handicare. I don't think this is even legal! It's like Microsoft or Tesla saying "Sorry your PC/Car is more than 3 years. No sevice! Buy a new one!!!!" AND the chairlift is supposed to outlive a car AND a PC by many years. Don't do business with this guys. THEY ARE NOT OK!"

"Onderhoud gehad overdag. Wil in de avond naar bed gaan, traplift doet het niet. Noodnumm3r gebeld, na 23.00 komt er geen monteur meer werd mij verteld, dus mijn invalide man moest maar beneden blijven.. werd met spoed een bed geregeld waar we nu al een uur op zitten te wachten.. morgen om 8 uur moet ik weer werken en het is nu 01.25... dus wees gewaarschuwd, in nood zijn ze niet bereikbaar, wel bereikbaar maar willen je niet helpen.."
